Psych: The Movie is coming to USA Network in December

It was announced back in May that after three years off the air the beloved USA original series Psych would be returning for a TV movie. Finally, months later, they have release a teaser trailer for movie at the San Diego Comic Con 2017.

My first reaction to the trailer was, Whaaaaat?!? But then my second reaction was, You know that’s right!

In order to “get back in Psych-shape” for the movie, actors James Roday and Dulé Hill run through a catch-phrase montage while preparing to reclaim their roles and Shawn Spencer and Burton “Gus” Guster, respectively.

From C’mon, son! to Suck it!, the duo beautifully reenact their catch-phrases from the show’s eight-season run. Even if you haven’t re-watched the show since it went off air, you can’t help but smile at your favorite one-liners and running gags. Can someone say, “Holy nostalgia, Batman!”

Featuring fake psychic detective Shawn and his best friend Gus, the Psych team will reunite once again for a two-hour tv special.

The USA Network reported, “The ambitious friends — along with some returning fan-favorite characters — come together during the holidays after a mystery assailant targets one of their own. A comedic thrill-ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable Psych team pursues the bad guys, justice… and, of course, food!” (source)

The two-hour special premieres this December, and will pick up three years after the series finale.

So raise your pineapples high and prepare for an amazing cinematic experience for all Psych-os out there.
